We recently celebrated the beautiful festival of Karwa Chauth with much joy and excitement. The festivities kicked off with a Mehendi event arranged on Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20, 2024. The Mehendi artist, gracefully seated in the Hall at Tikonia, added intricate designs to the hands of the enthusiastic ladies, marking the beginning of our vibrant celebration.
Our MCD Councillor, Ms Anita Bisoya, graced the occasion by visiting for Mehendi application and spreading cheer among the participants. The atmosphere buzzed with laughter and camaraderie as women gathered to share stories and prepare for the auspicious day.
The evening Karwa Chauth Pooja was held on 20th Oct, at 3:30 PM in the Hall at Tikonia. The community gathered to observe this sacred tradition, with women dressed in beautiful ethnic attire, fasting and praying for the long life and well-being of their husbands. The Pooja was led by Panditji, who arrived on time and guided the rituals with grace and devotion.
Ms. Neetu Sharma and Ms Ritu Bhatiani coordinated the event seamlessly, ensuring that everyone felt welcome and the arrangements ran smoothly. The Hall was filled with a sense of unity and spiritual energy as the women completed the Pooja rituals together.
