A meeting of the Animal Welfare Group was held at the D-3/4 community centre on Nov 10, 2024, and following decisions were taken:-
1. Repainting of the dog feeding points (as required) will be done soon.
2. A suggestion was also made to demarcate the feeding points in a manner that is visible to all residents
3. The demarcation activity will be undertaken by the identified AWG member along with RWA team once the painter is available.
4. The official complaints received from a couple of residents on account of difficulties faced by them due to stray dog activities by fellow neighbors were taken up.
5. It was aligned that RWA, at the outset, will initiate a mediation meeting among the residents (in the presence of some members of AWG) very soon to help solve the issue amicably without causing any discomfort to anyone.
6. As an immediate next step, a reminder letter will be sent to the Deputy Commissioner, MCD South Zone, for conducting a census of stray dogs in our colony and microchipping, etc.
The meeting was concluded with the intent to take the above actions very quickly and convene the next meeting as soon as the key members are available.
