The mantra of a happy married life lies in respecting and loving each other. The essentials of karva chauth are not just karva sargi, puja thali, fruits, and pars-haad any-more. Now a days, women like to celebrate karva chauth in a completely funfilled fashion instead of the traditionally— sitting at home, waiting for the moon to appear manner.
DCWA, C Block Club organized karva chauth for all, the first of its kind to be celebrated in this club, which was an occasion for all – not just women but men and even kids also joined to enjoy themselves. An array of different activities kept the residents rocking and grooving while the organizer randomly engaged the ladies and kept them ready on their heels to answer on-the-spot questions like – lady with a bindi on, gets a voucher: any lady in a saree, gets a voucher, and so on.
The fashion show drew all the ladies to walk their best and pose for a click followed by dance performances on various categories like youngest couple celebrating karvachauth, most romantic couple dance, mother-in-law daughter-in-law dance, etc. A totally fun-filled evening kept the hungry bellies well-occupied for a couple of hours. Many prizes were distributed by the club team to the winners of best dance couples for different categories; silver coins were given for lucky dips, there were bangle and mehndi counters for women; and the best part was the entire AC team coming together to celebrate the event.
