A couple of days after Diwali, a beautiful young dog appeared in an Espace park. The dog was in distress and all other community strays were chasing after him.
Since there is a census count of all strays within Espace Nirvana, we knew we knew that Captain (we gave him a name) did not belong here, but someone must be desperately looking for him, we thought.
Young resident Ujjwala Singh took the initiative to take care of him and share a picture of him across Gurgaon. “We reached out to pan Gurgaon Whatsapp groups. Merely 48 hours later, the young puppy was joyfully reunited with his loving human parent” she said. Ujjwala is an animal lover and has been relentlessly working with community dogs inside Espace.
Turns out the stray belongs was adopted by an auto driver in Sector 30 and his real name is ‘Aloo’! The auto driver came to Nirvana in his auto and was reunited with his pet. Kudos to the efforts by our teen and other residents who participated in reuniting this stray with his human.
It was heartening to see that the auto driver, a person with limited means also has such compassion for a stray and is taking care of him.
