At Unnati, we take pride in empowering underprivileged students to reach their full potential. Chhaya, one such student, has made us proud with her remarkable journey.
During the pandemic, Chhaya enrolled in our online spoken English classes conducted by Megha Sharma, an NRI based in Australia. Megha Ma’am’s guidance not only improved Chhaya’s language skills but also instilled confidence and a desire to work. After completing the classes, Chhaya pursued a short-term course at an eatery, determined to secure a respectable job. Her hard work paid off when she joined this eastery as a cashier, a position she has held for nearly a year now. On Karva Chauth, I, Unnati’s founder, visited this eatery with my kids. To my pleasant surprise, Chhaya was behind the counter, radiating confidence in her uniform. Her entire staff’s gesture of refusing payment for my kids’ order touched my heart. Chhaya’s story exemplifies the power of education, mentorship, and determination. We salute Megha Ma’am’s contribution to Chhaya’s growth and the eatery for providing opportunities to deserving individuals.
