Diwali Mela Remains a Timeless Magnet
Diwali Mela has long been a major draw in our Sector, setting a precedent even when it wasn’t widely celebrated elsewhere in Noida. Attracting visitors from all corners of the city, it remains a timeless magnet, retaining its irresistible charm to this day. Lo and behold! Sector-39 transformed into a dazzling festival hub on October 24, 2024, as the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) and a well established events company hosted the Grand Diwali Mela. This fantastic celebration at C Block Park, lasting from 6:00 pm to 10:30 pm, brought together people of all ages.
The RWA President, Dr. Sachdeva, and General Secretary, Rahul Jain, shared their vision: “We wanted to create a memorable experience blending Indian tradition with fun activities for kids, youngsters, adults, and seniors.” To achieve this, they partnered with the experts in event management.
The evening kicked off with mesmerizing dance performances by a professional troupe from Mumbai, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. Residents, dressed in their finest traditional attire, grooved to the DJ beats, showcasing their best moves. A selfie booth allowed families and friends to capture memories.
Foodies savored mouth-watering delicacies, including Bengali sweets, street food, and desserts. Over 23 stalls offered a wide range of products and services, such as Diwali decor, organic products, apparel, and more. Kids enjoyed swings, bouncy castles, shooting, trampoline jumping, fun games, and a dance competition.
The Managing Committee played a crucial role in organizing the event, with participants including Dr. Sachdeva, Kuldip Singh, Rahul Jain, M R Gupta, Vinod Tiwari, Sanjiv Sharma, and others. Sh. K K Jain, General Secretary of FONRWA, graced the occasion as the chief guest.As the night drew to a close, Sector-39 residents left with cherished memories and anticipation for next year’s celebrations. The Grand Diwali Mela showcased the community’s spirit and unity, proving to be a shining testament to Sector-39’s warmth and togetherness.
