Like every year, residents of Morpheus celebrated navratri by bringing the community alive with joyous devotion. The festivities commenced with soulfulkirtans and bhajans that echoed through the premises, filling every heart with spiritual bliss. Devotees gathered each evening, singing bhajans, enjoying prasad and creating an atmosphere of divine fervor.
On the final day, the highlight was a captivating Ramayan Katha, recounting the epic tale of Lord Rama. Children aged 4 to 7 years were dressed as characters from the Ramayan — Neil portrayed Sri Ram, Garvik portrayed Laxman, Shanaya dressed as Sita, and Prakrit was Hanumanji. Their innocence and sincerity delighted all devotees.
The children walked up to the decorated darbar in a procession with devotees showering them flower petals and chanting “Jai Sri Ram”. Thereafter, the climax of the celebration was the dramatic enactment of Ravaan Vadh. A grand effigy of Ravaan was set up, Sri Ram shot the victory arrow towards the effigy symbolizing the victory of good over evil. As the effigy fell, cheers of joy and chants of “Jai Shri Ram” reverberated, marking the triumph of righteousness.
The mini Dussehra celebrations brought back many childhood memories for residents. It was a delight to see the traditions being passed down to future generations. Such celebrations strengthen bonds among neighbors, making it a memorable event for everyone involved.
