Mata ki Chowki

The ladies of Anand Niketan organised a Mata Ki Chowki, every day in a different house, filling the Navratri evenings with devotion and spiritual energy. They gathered to offer prayers to Mata Rani through bhajans and devotional songs. There was melodious singing, accompanied by traditional instruments, invoking the blessings of the goddess. We missed our Sharma aunty, who dresses up every year like Durga Maa and blesses us. She couldn’t attend this year due to ill health. Many attendees joined in, singing along and clapping to the rhythms of the bhajans. The chowki was followed by the distribution of prasad, adding a sweet end to an evening of devotion and unity.
