The Adhya Jha Hostel complex recently came alive with the vibrant celebrations of the Diwali Mela and Dandiya Night, attracting a large crowd from the local community. The festivities kicked off at 11 a.m., heralding a day filled with music, dance, and cultural displays. Visitors explored 40 stalls showcasing a plethora of handcrafted items, including exquisite jewelry, saris, intricately designed bedspreads, and colorful diyas. Artisans from various states highlighted diverse crafts, making the event a lively marketplace of cultures. Food enthusiasts were treated to an array of culinary delights. The aromatic spread featured regional specialties like chaat papdi, chole kulche, makka ki roti with saag, and sweet treats such as kulfi and pakoras. The stalls didn’t fall short of offering the much-relished kulhad wali chai, drawing food lovers to indulge in flavors from across the country. As evening descended, the excitement peaked with the Dandiya Night, commencing after 7 p.m. Women adorned in vibrant cholis and ghagras, danced gracefully to the energetic beats, illuminating the night with their colorful attire and joyful spirit. The lively atmosphere was heightened by the selection of Gujarati and Bollywood songs which reverberated through the venue, compelling many to join in the dance and revel in the Dandiya’s charm. The event was a grand celebration of unity and tradition, drawing enthusiastic participation from all age groups.
