MCG carried out different activities across DLF Phase 2. Some of the highlights are:
MCG Ward Councillor Team responded very quickly to the residents’ demand of cleaning and garbage picking.
MCG has installed QR code tags in front of each house gate. The process expected is that garbage-pickers scan these tags after they pick up the segregated waste. This shall help MCG to get daily attendance and reports. It is now mandatory to segregate waste into wet or dry waste. Unsegregated waste will be fined. This method will help in better efficiency of trash pickup and better chances of recycling.
The sanitation workers of the MCG went on strike for 10 days from 19th October to 29th October. They were not collecting garbage littered on streets across the city while continuing with their ongoing protest during Diwali. The workers called off their 10-day-long strike on Saturday after they were assured by the Haryana government that their grievances will be addressed.
To fix up the monkey menace, the MCG also arranged the Langoor for Phase 2. Residents hope this will make the situation better.
Fogging is also done across Phase 2 seeing the rise in the mosquito-breeding post Diwali.
