In April 2019, I moved to Imperial Court, leaving behind all my friends. The transition was tough, and I felt isolated as the new kid in a different environment. The kids at my new place didn’t seem to understand me, and I felt like they misjudged who I really was.
It was hard to connect with anyone, and for a while, I felt like nobody wanted to be my friend. The sense of loneliness was overwhelming at times. Adjusting to the new surroundings and trying to fit in was challenging.
I missed the familiarity and comfort of my old friends, which made the process even harder. There were moments when I doubted whether I would ever find my place among my peers. However, over time, things began to change.
Slowly, I met new people, and despite my initial experiences, I started to form meaningful connections. The kids I eventually got to know became more than just acquaintances—they became my closest friends.
It took time and patience, but I found a group of people who accepted me for who I am. These friendships have grown into some of the most important relationships in my life. Looking back, though the journey was difficult, it taught me a lot about perseverance and the value of true friendship.
I’m grateful for everything and every-one I have.
