On September 7, Saturday, ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ or Vinayak Chaturthi was celebrated with great bangs countrywide. This festival marks the beginning of Hindu festivals too.
At AGV1, there was a wonderful celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi at the N tower lobby. It was a ten- day celebration from 7 to 17 September which was organised by ‘Satsangi Mahila Mandal’. On 7 September, by 11am , festival started by sthapna of the idol of lord Ganesha at the N tower puja premise which was beautifully decorated by flowers. Residents assembled in large numbers for welcoming the most beloved Elephant God by cheering ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriyan’ accompanied with musical instruments with cheerful mood.
Afterwards Chaturthi puja was started by offering flowers and lord Ganesha’s favourite sweets like Modak and laddoos and by performing other rituals. Daily both morning and evening after puja bhajan-kirtan was held religiously. Ladies group arranged various games and some entertaining events at the venue for ten days. Devotees gathered both the times for seeking the blessing of lord ‘Bappa’ . Prasad was distributed in large scale among all.
On tenth day after puja and Arti everyone’s adorable lord Ganesha was adieu with heavy heart with a large procession entire society and was immersed into the makeshift water body by chanting ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriyan, agali baras tu jaldi aa ‘. Everyone played with gulal and greeted each other after immersion. Ganesh Chaturthi celebration, symbolise the removal of obstacles and seeking the blessings and happiness among all.
