Chintu-The Stray Pup
Namaste!!
We are the living beings who stay on the road under most difficult circumstances and you call us strays. Born on a filthy corner of the street, without food, water, medical care and with a lot of vulnerability, we fight all odds to survive on a daily basis.
Sometimes, food given to us is wrapped in foil or plastic bags and we swallow bits of it in an attempt to open it. It is harmful for our health and can even choke us to death. Please leave food on a piece of paper and refill our bowls with water if you find them empty.
Few humans throw stones and raise sticks on us. A rowdy one crushed our babies under his wheels. Some of our friends were poisoned. We are subjected to hatred for no fault of ours. We don’t intend to cause any harm to anyone. It was not our choice to be born on the roads and live in these conditions. It just happened.
Some of us are lucky enough to be taken care of; by our foster parents who provide us food when we are hungry, water when we are thirsty, vaccinations and medicines on regular basis. And they give us unconditional love. Some foster parents even get us neutered, some even adopt us or try for our adoption. We are thankful to God for sending these angels to take care of us. We wag our tails when we see you hoping to be loved. We are also the creation of the same God that created you.
‘You may not love us, don’t hate us either..’
