Vishwakarma Puja was celebrated on 17th September at Saket Dham in the temple premises with great devotion and dedication. Saket Dham continues to hold the distinction of being the only society in the sector to perform Vishwakarma Puja as a yearly ritual. On this auspicious occasion, Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect of arts and crafts, is worshipped, along with the machines, tools, gadgets, and instruments used by workers for their livelihood.
For the celebration, a special platform was raised near the temple and beautifully decorated with colorful flowers and petals for performing the Puja. A large, beautifully framed image of Lord Vishwakarma was installed on this specially pre-decorated setup. Various working machines, tools, and other mechanical or electronic gadgets and instruments were also placed before the idol along with the necessary puja samagri. The Puja was conducted by Pandit Ji, who chanted mantras and was accompanied by a large gathering of devotees. Puja was also performed for all the society’s diesel generators, transformers, electrical panels, and lifts. After the rituals, Pandit Ji blessed everyone, applying red Tilak to their foreheads and tying Raksha Sutra (Mouli) on their wrists. After the Havan and Aarti, Prasad was distributed to all those present in the darbar of Shri Vishwakarma.
The Puja was excellently organized by the society’s skilled artisans, supported by the staff, who deserve full appreciation for their sincere efforts. The celebration was a grand success, thanks to the wholehearted support of the society management committee and, of course, the enthusiastic participation of the residents of Saket Dham.
