Vishwakarma Pooja at Princeton

Vishwakarma pooja was celebrated in the basement adjacent to the power generating room on 17th September at about 10:30 am. The momentum gathered in the early morning as the staff members were decorating the entrance of the inclined path leading to the generator room with garlands.

According to Hindu Mythology, Lord Vishwakarma was the son of  Lord Brahma and believed to be the creator of all the palaces of Hindu Gods and Goddesses along with their weapons and vehicles.  Since time immemorial the practice of worshipping equipment has been carried out on this special day.

At about 10:45 a.m., Panditji started performing the Pooja of Lord Vishwakarma in the basement. The whole area was carpeted and was provided with seating arrangements for the staff members. A small temple was created with colourful lights for Lord Vishwakarma and the rituals were carried out meticulously in the basement. The Pooja lasted for an hour and Prasad was offered on the completion of the pooja. The whole staff, members working at the Condominium office along with the President, attended the celebration piously for the well-being of the community members.

A grand Bhandara was organised by the Condominium at the closing of the celebration. Tasty food was enjoyed by about 200 members working at Princeton.

The place of machines looked so pious and the people carried home the pleasant memories of the celebrations!
