Letter to the Editor Subject: Collaborative Efforts to end Water Crisis in DLF Phase-2

Dear Editor, In response to the article on water crisis that was shared in your magazine in the month of September, I am writing to highlight many major points that were not mentioned in the article. The severe water crisis that residents of M Block, DLF Phase-2, had been facing for an extended period was so dire that residents were forced to frequently call for water tankers to meet their daily needs. This unsustainable solution led the community to take collective action. In response to the crisis, the residents of M Block, under the banner of a newly formed group called SAMBHAV, came together to seek long-term solutions. We approached the DLF authorities, demanding urgent action. As part of this initiative, members of SAMBHAV visited the DLF office to meet senior officials and conveyed the residents’ frustration. Multiple meetings were organized at M Block Park, where we deliberated on how to resolve the issue and ensure a stable water supply. After much persistence and collaboration between SAMBHAV, DLF authorities, and under the guidance of the then RWA president, pipes were finally laid to address the water shortage. This initiative has now ensured that all residents of M Block have adequate water supply.
