In what could have been a tragic incident, a young boy named Tejas (C-83), residing in Sector 26, narrowly escaped a potential kidnapping attempt while waiting in the neighborhood park for his karate class. The incident has shaken the residents of C Block and brought attention to the growing concerns about the safety and security of the sector. On a regular day, Tejas was sitting in the park when two unfamiliar boys, reportedly from outside the sector, approached him. While they sat beside him, Tejas overheard them discussing plans that suggested they intended to kidnap him. Alarmed but quick to act, Tejas moved closer to a lady from the neighborhood, seeking safety. His instincts guided him further as he noticed a familiar face walking nearby. Without hesitation, Tejas ran towards her and quickly returned home, avoiding what could have been a very dangerous situation.
This incident is not an isolated one. Residents of Sector 26 have raised concerns about increasing numbers of strangers from nearby areas, particularly Nithari, entering the sector parks. These parks, once a place of joy and relaxation, have become hotspots for individuals loitering without any valid reason. In addition, visitors from nearby I Care and Apollo Hospitals often spend their entire day sitting in these parks, leading to unease among the locals.
Parents are now apprehensive about letting their children play alone in these parks, fearing for their safety. What was once a peaceful and close-knit community is now facing a constant threat to its peace and harmony. The lack of monitoring and the influx of outsiders have created an atmosphere of discomfort and fear.
It is crucial for the residents to come together and take immediate action to safeguard the sector. Strengthening security measures by installing CCTV cameras, hiring additional security personnel are additional methods.
All the commercial organisations in the sector should give at least 6 guards for 8am to 8pm for the nuisance they have converted this sector into and managing the chaos around them.
