Arya Samaj Kailash- Greater Kailash-1 celebrated Shra-awni Parv from August 12 -18, 2024. The week-long festival had daily morning and evening sessions.
Morning session comprised of havan followed by pravachan. Dr Ved Pal, eminent vedic scholar and acharya Virender Vikram led the morning events. Every evening, there were bhajans by Dev Arya from 6.30 to 7.30 pm followed by pravachan by Dr Ved Palfrom 7.30 to 8.30 pm. Dr Ved Pal spoke on different themes including, Arya Samaj and Ved, purpose of human life, who needs protection, true friend, beyond anger etc. Prasad was distributed everyday to participants both in morning and evening.
The main and closing half-day function was held on Sunday August 18 in BML Munjal Auditorium. The event began with inspiring bhajans by Dev Arya. The event was attended and addressed by Bansuri Swaraj, MP, Greater Kailash, Saurab Bhardwaj, MLA, Greater Kailash, Sikha Rai, MCD Councilor, Greater Kailash, Dr Mahesh Vidhyalankar, Professor, Delhi University, Dr Dharmendra Shastri, Vedic Scholar, Dr Ved Pal, Vedic Scholar, Yogesh Munjal, Chairman, Munjal Showa Group, Vinay Arya, General Secretary, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Sabha. Rajender Kumar Verma, president, Arya Samaj coordinated the event. The event was attended by eminent residents of the area including the president and secretary of newly-elected managing committee of Pahariwala Gurudwara, Arya Samaj members, men, women and children. The event ended with rishi langar hosted by family of Arun Bahl.
