Kalypso residents celebrated the 78thIndependence Day in the lawn with patriotic fervour and fanfare. A galaxy of veterans hoisted the national flag while residents stood captivated in an enthusiastic, large gathering.
The contingent of Security Guards, in their spectacular uniforms, added glitter to the ceremony. The flag hoisting ceremony was followed by the national anthem and then by a tapestry of patriotism – inspiring songs by resident groups.
A few solo performances and a perfectly choreographed children’s dance delighted the gathering, eliciting roaring applause. Residents’ keen participation elevated the gaiety and vibrancy of India’s most important event.
It was a day for us to sombrely remember our armed forces’ valour. They made the supreme sacrifice to keep our tricolour fluttering high, our sovereignty intact and our national pride high! IRRMC wishes a Happy Independence Day to all!
