Morning walks are like this! Several peafowls visit Princeton during early morning hours, especially during the monsoons, which is also their mating season. It’s a visual delight to spot them fearlessly strutting around the condominium’s parks and internal roads; or perched on treetops, foliage, light posts or atop any vehicle that catches their fancy; sometimes solo, sometimes together. They entice you with their calls. We are blessed to have these magnificent, majestic and magical creatures in our midst and thankful that Princeton has an abundance of greenery to welcome them.
Understandably, they are startled by loud chatter or sudden movement. If you are quiet and do not disturb them, you are not perceived as a threat. They graciously permit you to come closer, one step at a time, to capture some enchanting moments with your camera.
We hope our feathered friends continue to come by and that Princeton gives them as much joy as they provide us.
