सावन के झूले पड़े हैं तुम चले आओ
GCJSCF held a musical evening on28th July 2024 at Gulmohar Club 5.00 P M onwards. A large number of members attended the meetings. Mr.Y.Sahay the President welcomed the members and announced that he had an excellent achievement to share that Mr Umesh Sadev served as session convenor at Fourth International Climate Summit at The Taj Palace Hotel on 19th July 2024. The Theme was Support The India led Global Biofuels Alliance for Energy Security through Dented Com Ethanol. The summit was inaugurated by Union Minister of Transport Sh Nitin Gadkari, Valedictory address was delivered by Honorary Vice President of India Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar. The information was welcomed by all with huge applause and Mr U. Sadev was congratulated by all members. It is a great news and we all are proud to have him as a member.
In Meeting held in June, Mrs Malvika Thakur the singer composer of the forum suggested that as July is a month of rain and Haryali Teej, the forum should have a musical evening of sawan based songs. The proposal was accepted by management and Mrs.M.Thakur was given the responsibility for organizing the Musical Evening. She approached all the singers of the forum and presented a beautiful ranga rang programme of famous filmi songs of 1960’s and 70’s based on sawan.
Mrs Geeta Jha explained the meaning of savanl and the melodious event was started by Mrs Veena Sharma. She sang Shiv Stuti that was followed by रिमझिम रिमझिम गीत सावन गाये. After that Mrs Malvika presented ओ सजना बरखा बहार आई, Mrs Anju Arora sang a Krishna Bhajan. After that Mr Vimal Bhan जिन्दगी भर नहीं भूलेगी वो बरसात की रात, Nirupama Verma presented female version of same. Mrs Krishna Dev sang भीगा भीगा मौसम, then Shashi Bhardwaj – ओ सजना बरखा बहार आई, that was followed by a duet sang by Mr Vimal and Malvika Thakur सावन का महीना पवन करे शोर, Nirupama Verma also sang नैनो में बदरा छाये बिजुली सी चमकेंगे हाये with Shashi Bhardwaj following it with बरखा बहार आईण् टममदंरप सावन के महीने में भांग खानी चाहिए and Malvika रिमझिम रिम-झिम गीत सावन गाये, भीगी रातो में etc.
Every performance was appreciated by all members. Each singer has her or his style of singing but the melody, the choice of songs, the sweetness of voice and the combination of sur tal ridum, made the programme a Ranga Rang event with the scent of Savan in the air. Every performance was appreciated by huge applause and adjectives like – brilliant, commendable.
Comparing was done by Mr Vinay Thakur in a very unique way. In each song sung by singers he gave the name of the film, the singer, composer, music director, also who was the actor in the film and the year when the film was released. His skill of presentation was highly appreciated.
The President Mr Y.Sahay thanked Mrs. Malvika, for initiative and presentation, Mr Thakur for super comparing and all the singers for their marvelous singing. Mr. Sahay conveyed good wishes to all the boys and girls whose birthday falls in the month of July. Token birthday gifts were presented to them. That was followed by cutting of cake and mouth watering snacks and rasgullas. It was a pleasant evening with melodious music and good food.
