Illumination in parks has always been the major issue. The lights which are installed in the park by MCD are outsourced to a company called EESL. Many a times it takes days to get them repaired if a breakdown happens. Keeping all this view and thanks to our councillor Anita Sandeep Baisoya and MLA Madan lal, bollard lights were installed in Puneet Dutt Park D block on the Martyrdom Day of the great officer of the colony, Lt Puneet Nath Dutt ( Ashok Chakra ) whose memorial is situated in the park. In addition to this, tiranga Lights were installed in the entire periphery poles in the park to increase the aesthetics of the park and make it a truly memorial park. The lights inaugurated by Anita Dutt, mother of Lt Puneet, along with MLA, Councillor Madam and resident of the colony especially young children who also sang the national anthem. The installation of tiranga lights will also be done in other parks as currently only two parks have been covered namely Puneet Dutt park and Atal Vatika (A block).
