With the arrival of monsoon, Noida came alive with a plantation drive aimed at enhancing the city’s greenery. The initiative, which spanned across parts of Noida, saw participation from residents, eager to contribute to the environment.
A highlight of the drive was the kids’ gardening workshop held at IT3 lawn on Sunday, 14 July. This event, designed to instil a love for nature among children, featured educational activities. The workshop included a blend of gardening and yoga, promoting wellness and a connection to nature.
The yoga session was done under SP Gupta (KT). Nimilika Singh (KT) and Shivani Sood (PC3), who led the workshop, guided the children in decorating their own pots and in planting saplings. The participants were thrilled to personalize their pots with colours before planting their own little green companions.
Thanks go to Nikhil Chaudhary (IT), whose efforts in arranging the saplings made the workshop possible. His contribution ensured that children had the opportunity to take home a plant, marking their first step towards appreciating the importance of greenery in our lives.
