In M block of DLF Phase 2, the DTCP shut down six commercial units, including PG accommodations and guesthouses, for operating without permission. These businesses had ignored warnings, prompting their closure. Manish Yadav from the DTCP stated that legal action would be taken if these businesses try to reopen. This crackdown is part of a larger effort to remove illegal encroachments and reclaim government land. Over 1,000 property owners recently received notices for similar violations, as commercial activities in residential areas are usually not allowed without special permission. Residents are relieved, as unauthorized businesses can cause disturbances and hazards. The DTCP’s actions are appreciated for keeping the neighborhood safe and secure.
