Community Samvada is a news magazine that is an effective medium of neighbourhood communication in any area, which holds true even for Nirvana Country. Through Samvada, we hope to initiate and stimulate communication and mutual understanding among residents, the RWA and other local institutions and various public authorities who are actively engaged in the improvement and development of the area.
The magazine will be distributed free of cost every month to every home in Nirvana. While some residents have been living here for a few years, others are relatively newcomers. The residents of this colony are a varied lot, engaged in different vocations. The residents essentially need a platform to facilitate the expression of residents’ needs and priorities to build residents’ support on local issues.
Our news magazine will disseminate local information of interest to all the residents. It will include photographs and information on news and events happening in our society. You too can share information on social and cultural events through phone calls and emails, thereby promoting greater social interaction.
Community Samvada was first pioneered as a free monthly community news magazine in 1995, to cater to the requirement of the then-emerging Sector 15A Noida.
Its sections are periodically updated to adjust to the changing environment and needs of the residents. It has established its objectivity and credibility and made its own place in each of these areas, so much so that it is now highly valued by the residents and has become an intrinsic part of their life. For its distinguished contribution, Samvada team has been conferred the “People’s Initiative Award” by the NGO “Hai Umeed” in the presence of Anil Shastri (son of late Lal Bahadur Shastri) at a glittering ceremony. The Wall Street Journal in its blog India Real Time also recognised Samvada’s contribution to the local communities of Delhi, Noida and Gurugram.
Publishing a monthly news magazine is not an easy task. It requires interested, knowledgeable and dedicated individuals to undertake it.
The members of the Editorial Board of the newsmagazine undertake the responsibility on an honorary basis, to promote the interests of the residents and their societies. They need all the encouragement possible.
The residents too have an important role to play. They must associate themselves with the venture, actively participate in its columns, be of assistance to those who have undertaken the task and ensure its continued existence. They are the ultimate beneficiaries. A news magazine for Nirvana Country, which is a glorious colony of Gurugram, is essential for balanced development and positive social interaction among the residents, to create a cohesive environment necessary for enhancing the all-round quality of life in the area.
Hope you find it engaging and informative!
