Wall-Hung Library Brings Hope to Children in Violence-Hit Manipur Relief Camps

Manipur has been facing endless violence during the last one year, which has left over 60,000 people living in relief camps. This ongoing conflict has severely disrupted the education of school-going children, with no end in sight for their stay in the camps.

The plight of children in Manipur’s relief camps caught our attention, and we felt compelled to act. We realized that sending Wall Hung Libraries (WHL) to these camps could bring much-needed relief and joy to the children and enable them to continue with their reading and learning. We’re happy to share that we’ve successfully shipped three WHLs to the relief camps. In the Betuk Shangkreng area, the WHL has brought a ray of hope and happiness, even amidst an uncertain future.

BFA is now exploring opportunities to identify other relief camps where we can send more WHLs. We thank the good samaritans who recommended providing WHLs to Manipur relief camps and contributed financially. BFA is grateful for their initiative and support!

With volunteers mostly from Sector-93, we invite you too to join us in making books available to students in remote areas across our country by donating to the WHL initiative.
