25th May, 24 was the voting day in Delhi. S block voters started lining up the voting booths even before 7 am, which was the scheduled start time. This time, Election commission of India did a novel experiment. They distributed on the spot certificates to the 1st Senior citizen casting the vote, 1st lady voter etc. There was a curious crowd of about 12 visitors from Sweden, watching the election festival like atmosphere outside Arya Shishu Shala, voting center for some blocks of G.K.1. Ramesh Uppal of S 200 got the certificate for being the 1st Senior citizen to cast his vote.S Block recorded a voting of 57.5 %. Intense heat, & a long week end were the main reasons for low turnout.
