Pranjal Mittal, a 15-year-old resident of Alpine B Grand Omaxe, Sector-93B, has shown exceptional talent in yoga from a young age. A Class 10th student, with nearly eight years of yoga experience, Pranjal began his journey under the guidance of his yoga teacher, Ms. Babita. Recognizing his natural flexibility and potential early on, she introduced him to competitive yoga which set him on a path to mastery.
With daily practice of two hours and unwavering perseverance, Pranjal has achieved proficiency in various advanced forms of yoga, including Traditional, Artistic, and Rhythmic yoga. Competing in the under-17 category, he has already amassed numerous accolades. In 2019, he was awarded the “Best Yogi” title at the World Championship in Amritsar in the under-10 section. Over the years, he has collected a multitude of medals and over 12 trophies.
Recently, Pranjal showcased his skills at the Indo-Nepal International Championship in May 2024, where he clinched the gold medal.
Pranjal’s dedication and achievements serve as an inspiration to the younger generation, particularly in an era where many are engrossed in social media and lack physical activity. His commitment to a disciplined lifestyle extends beyond yoga practice. He adheres to a strict dietary regime, limiting junk food consumption to no more than twice a month and avoiding refined foods, especially refined flour.
Previously, Pranjal was also an avid tennis player, achieving an AITA under-12 rank of 75. However, he has since shifted his focus entirely to yoga, where his true passion lies. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic cuber, managing to solve a Rubik’s Cube in under 20 seconds.
Pranjal’s journey in yoga is strongly supported by his family, friends, and school. He aims to continue his practice and spread awareness about the extensive physical and mental health benefits of yoga, encouraging others to adopt this enriching discipline. Pranjal Mittal’s story is a testament to what can be achieved with early guidance, hard work, and a supportive environment. His remarkable journey is not only a source of inspiration but also a reminder of the positive impact that a disciplined and health-conscious lifestyle can have on young individuals.
