The cattle are considered a boon to mankind as they helped us to achieve the status homo sapiens enjoy today. Their worth is unquestionably unparalleled to any other amenities provided by Mother Nature but seeing them loitering on the city roads cause the goose bumps as we don’t know how to face the situation.
The motor drivers need to concentrate too properly to meander their way through a big group of cows; that are lazying at the centre of the road, blocking most part of the road, creating a traffic menace! In the colonies when one is walking about, taking care of one’s chores, one encounters these big horn bullies, who own the roads, where will you escape? They are at wrong place at a wrong time, but who to complaint? At the greengrocer’ joint, one faces the same issue, the problem arises when the vendors in an attempt to shoo them, get scolded by their owners, well they are owned by someone who reaps the benefit from them on our costs!
Sushant Lok C block suffers this on every day basis. It is quite a common site to encounter such herds on the roads, few accidents also occur with senior citizens and kids, but who cares? They come from Kanhai Gaon, enter from the Gold Souk gate and make themselves a niche in Chiranjeev Park or in the area around Mother Dairy. The question is if the streets are filled with strays how much space is left to commute for the residents?
Some day some solution will be found but today it seems a farfetched hope!
