The Lighthouse, a day-long workshop meant for the students of Classes 9th to 12th, was held in Grand Omaxe, Sector-93B, recently. Organised by the residents of the society – Sushma Mohan and Bhawna Vijan – the workshop aimed at helping these young minds in setting up the right career goals for themselves.
After a brief introductory session, the students were engaged in various activities throughout the day. From guided meditation sessions prompting reflections on their aspirations a decade hence, to interactive exercises aimed at identifying strengths and values, the workshop fostered a sense of self-awareness crucial for career planning.
Understanding one’s true personality through psychometric testing proved to be a powerful tool in their career planning. It helped them align their strengths, preferences and values with potential career paths, increasing the likelihood of finding fulfillment and success in their chosen fields.
A career campus booklet, a comprehensive guide designed to track their workshop activities and harness them for future career endeavours, was also handed over to them. The booklet will serve as a roadmap for students, empowering them to leverage their newfound insights in crafting actionable plans for their professional journeys.
In fact, one of the highlights of the workshop was the hands-on exercises designed to help these students identify their strengths, values and career goals.
The workshop also covered some valuable topics like effective communication and time management, which are essential skills for navigating various aspects of life. Various practical tools like key cards and strategies for prioritising tasks were provided to the students to help them make a real difference in their lives in managing relationships and other responsibilities.
Among the enthusiastic participants were Advaita Vijan, Alina Goel, Anika Thapa and Saanvi Rawal, each embodying the spirit of ambition and determination. Their active involvement in the workshop exemplified the eagerness of today’s youth to proactively shape their destinies and pursue their dreams with clarity and purpose.
