On 15th April Ridgewood started the project of relaying their bitumen roads with much fanfere and symbolic puja which included breaking of coconut. Relaying of roads was last done some 9 years ago and it had now become imperative. In order to keep the level of road below the covered parking (stilt) floor, the roads should be dug up some 80 mm and then relayed. This will reduce the possibility of stilt area getting flooded during the monsoon.
As agreed in last AGM all flat owners contributed an amount in proportion to their flat cover area (i.e per square feet). A total of 5 installments have been decided to spread evenly the payments. A project management consultant too has been appointed to oversee the work from quality and progress point of view as well as passing and forwarding of road contractor bills for progress payment to
the general body. Residents are keenly waiting for the completion of the project, as they face lot of inconvenience during the execution.
Once the project is completed it shall enhance the ambience of Ridgewood for which all residents shall be proud. Contribution towards the preparation of specifications and other documentation and conditions for the vendor have been made by some residents who have voluntenly offerd their services as domain experts having many years of experience in such projects.
Ridgewood is lucky to have such residents.
