On 28th March 2024 D6 Santushti Apartments, Vasant Kunj witnessed a well-coordinated mega mock drill for earthquake preparedness. It was great to see the coordination among various departments during the rescue exercise. Within an hour of distress call, all departments like, Police, Civil Defence, Ambulance, Fire, BSES, Jal Board, MCD, PWD,Medical, Traffic etc along with SDM Shivansh (Danics),Incident Commander and other officers reached D6 Santushti and started the rescue operation. SHO South VK Sahdev Rana, along with his team and traffic police team helped in the rescue operations and traffic movement.16 casualties were reported where there were 10 minor injuries, 4 major injuries and 2 deaths. After first aid at the rescue centre, they were shifted to nearest hospital, Spinal Injuries. RWA President Snehlata Rathi, along with RWA team and staff was there to help rescue teams. RWA and residents got to learn n understand the rescue system during time of any disaster. They thanked SDM sir and all departments for such educative exercise.It was a great learning experience for all.
