GJCSCF and Gulmohar Sports Cum CC in association with India’s most trustworthy CBD Brand BOMBAY HEMP COMPANY BOHECD organised a seminar on 6th April 2024 at the Centre’s ground floor hall, 11: 30 AM onward. Mr. Y.Sahay the President of the forum welcomed and introduced the speaker of the day Dr. Komal Sehrawat, B.A.M.S., AYURVEDIC medicine practitioner at BOHECO CLINIC and store Green Park.
Mr. Sahay in his address explained that due to stress and anxiety insomnia is a common phenomena nowadays. If someone has continuous sleeping disorder it should be taken seriously and it needs proper attention and experts advice. Dr. Sehrawat gave a PowerPoint presentation regarding Insomnia and CBD -CBD-DERIVED FROM CANNABIS SATIVA LEAVES IN TREATMENT for insomnia.
Dr. Sehrawat explained that insomnia is a stage where it is difficult for a person to get sound sleep for a long time. He could either not be able to sleep or have disturbed sleep or wake up early at 3.00 or 4 AM without having enough sleep essential for health. This could also result in high blood pressure, hypertension, restlessness etc.
She further explained that apart from the reasons like stress and anxiety, the sleeping environment such as an uncomfortable bed or bedroom, too much light, noises, very hot or cold weather, lifestyle (late night activities) jet lag, Dementia, alcoholism etc could also cause insomnia.
She explained What is CBD and its use in treatment of insomnia and other chronic diseases as pain relief. CBD derived from Cannabis Sativa leaves is a non intoxicating compound clinically proven for soothing anxiety and reducing inflammation. Synergy with other cannabinoids helps in natural wellbeing and pain management with Ayurvedic principles can offer natural solutions for stress, and sleep challenges. CBD can provide a healthy lifestyle. Exploring the therapeutic potential of CBD in managing stress and improving sleep quality in today’s hectic lifestyle were highlighted too as also CBD’s role for stress relief and achieving a balanced state of mind.
Dr. Sehrawat answered all the questions and queries, doubts with her charming smile. Mr. Y. Sahay appreciated her talk and thanked her. He said it was a very useful talk. For a sound and physical and mental fitness she suggested 1. Make your bed room sleep friendly 2.mfÙk”B czã eqgwrsZ wake up early before sunrise. 3.Fix a time to go for sleep and wake up around same time each day. 4. Do physical activities 5. Avoid napping especially in the afternoon. 6. For sound sleep, take a hot bath before going to bed. 7. Apply oil to our naval and have a foot massage with oil. 8. Don’t listen or watch exciting programmes, serials, movies or news before going to bed. 9. Listen soothing music, use aromas. 10 Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at comfortable temperature. 11. Remove all electronic devices such as TV, Computer, iPad, Smart phones from your bed. 12 Exercise and practice meditation. 13. Eat a lighter meal at least two hours before going to bed, stay active..Get into bed only when you are tired.
