Time to Trigger ‘War on Wastages’

While strolling on the sector roads, many times it is noticed that most of the street lights of different lanes are found switched on several occasions during broad daylight. Although no work is normally found to be going on by any Electrical team for replacement of bulbs or repair work at that time. But the frequency of such instances is on the increase. There seems to be negligence on the part of the electrical department. It is a very well-known fact that our country is power deficit, but then how can we afford to waste the power unnecessarily like this. The concerned authorities must be vigilant enough, understand the gravity of this issue seriously and take all necessary precautions and actions to curb this power wastage in future. Remember, every unit of power saved is power generated.

Sometimes water remains continuously leaking for days together from the overhead tanks installed on the top of some of the houses and public buildings.  This is simply due to a malfunction of the overflow valve which is not able to maintain the predetermined water level in the overhead tank. This hardly requires either resetting of the overflow valve or at the most replacement of the valve to stop the leakage. But neither the sector RWA nor the Noida Authority is bothered about it. In the process, tons of water is getting wasted and going to drains. The irony is that on one side slogans to ‘Save every drop of water’ are raised but such wastages are always overlooked.

In today’s scenario, sensitization to such energy and water losses is a must to trigger a war on Wastages. Any compromise on this aspect, will not only lead to heavy losses but cause depletion of resources which remains a threat to mankind.

Chherh den hum Wastage per War
