The spirit of Holi came alive in Sector 39 as the Resident Welfare Association (RWA) orchestrated a lively celebration that captivated hearts and painted smiles across the community. From vibrant decorations to cultural performances and interactive activities, the event was a testament to the unity and festive fervour of the residents.
The festivities commenced with a jubilant Holi Milan Path Parikrama, a joyous procession along an 18-meter stretch road, enlivened by the rhythmic beats of dhol and showered with vibrant gulal. Led by the esteemed RWA president, Dr. G S Sacheva , Managment Committee members and the residents embarked on this colorful journey, marking the beginning of a day filled with camaraderie and joy.
The inaugural Holi celebration program -held at F Block Park Sector 39, welcomed residents with open arms. Dr. G S Sacheva extended a warm greeting to all attendees, setting the tone for an unforgettable gathering. The Managing Committee (MC) members added to the warmth by personally welcoming residents with smiles and offerings of gulal and chandan, enhancing the festive ambiance.
Guiding the festivities with exuberance hosts – myself (Divya Bhasin) and Deepika Sarana infused energy into the event. Cultural programs took center stage, with residents showcasing their talents through Kavya Path by Shashi Gupta ,Hasya Kavita by MR Gupta, Bhajan by Sudha Jain, melodious song by Dinesh Sharma a and cultural folk song by Raj Kumar Bhardwaj , added layers of vibrancy and cultural richness to the celebration.
I orchestrated an engaging interactive quiz, challenging participants’ knowledge of Holi’s history, traditions, and cultural significance. The quiz not only entertained but also educated, fostering a deeper appreciation for the festival’s heritage. To keep the excitement soaring, surprise games were introduced, igniting curiosity and healthy competition among participants.
Acknowledging the talent and enthusiasm of the community, prizes were distributed to winners of the quiz and cultural performances, fostering a sense of achievement and camaraderie. As the beats of music filled the air, residents took to the floor, dancing with friends and neighbors, further strengthening bonds and spreading joy.
Amidst the revelry, delectable refreshments added flavor to the festivities. From mouth-watering kachori and aaloo ki sabji to crispy pakodas, refreshing thandai, and sweet gujia, every bite was a culinary delight, tantalizing taste buds and satiating appetites.
The innovative and spirited celebrations of Holi in Sector 39 were a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Managing Committee members and the collective spirit of the community. A special thanks to our General Secretary Rahul Jain for all the arrangements of Holi. As colours blended and hearts united, memories were created, fostering a sense of belonging and joy that will linger long after the festivities end.
