Yet Another Fire Breakout Shocks the Residents

Distressing Recollection of Previous Tragedy

The authorities need to wake up before its too late!

Last night, a small fire erupted at one of the unauthorized kiosks located in the Golf City Plot 8 market. This same market was the site of a devastating fire event two years ago, which inflicted extensive damage to the neighboring properties and put the lives of the residents in danger. The presence of these types of eateries in residential areas is a matter of great concern. Furthermore, the lack of safe exit routes from the towers of the complex adds to the apprehension. It is imperative for the authorities to investigate this issue immediately and remove these illegal kiosks and hazardous shops from the area, which was originally designated as a green zone.

Following the incident, the AOA and residents team (Munna Sharma,  Prabhat Kumar,  K N Bhatnagar  and Sh Utpal )  met with the authorities. A detailed discussion was held with the  Noida Authority, Police Commissioner & concerned departments  and letter was submitted to take necessary action for OC, registry , illegal market issues and fire issues (by illegal restaurants and kiosks).

The sweltering heat of summer months brings a host of problems, including frequent power outages, water shortages, and other issues. Fire hazards, caused by short circuits or overheated electrical appliances, are an even greater threat. The neighborhood has experienced numerous incidents of fire breakouts, making it necessary to take precautions.

The cause of these fires in the summer season lies in the fire triangle, which consists of three fundamental components: oxygen, fuel, and heat. While the first two elements are present year-round, the third factor, heat, is more prevalent in the summer, making fire breakouts more frequent than in winter. During heatwaves, the occurrence of fire outbreaks rises sharply compared to a typical summer.

During the extreme heat of summer, the usage of air conditioners rises considerably in urban areas, causing an additional burden on electrical wires. Some of these wires are not designed to handle such a load and often trip, producing the spark needed to ignite a fire. The quality of wires used in homes and offices is also a crucial factor. In hot temperatures, if there is an electrical short circuit, the fire can spread rapidly due to the absence of moisture in the materials. The lack of moisture makes them dry and combustible, much like fuel.
