The collective efforts of NFC RWA (Ashoka Park) and some residents finally yielded results when MCD through the Councilor’s office took up the task of re-carpeting the roads in the colony, beginning from Block-A. The work began with great pomp and show with an ‘Udghatan ceremony’ on 3 Mar attended by Neetu Choudhary and Manish Choudhary, Councilors and some residents along with members of the RWA. It was a beautiful event beginning with ceremonial breaking of the coconut by the Councillor, Neetu Manish Choudhary and residents, along with a melodious Ganesh Vandana, played on the flute by our own A-Block resident Sushil Soneja. Gaurav Saini (SDM) was also present. The RWA felicitated the SDM, Gaurav Saini, Councilor, Neetu Choudhary and Manish Choudhary. As promised and assured by the Councilor that the dense carpeting work will begin soon, it did and is now complete. NFC RWA (Ashoka Park)’s information is that the balance work (viz. In Blocks B and C) has been sanctioned but being a bigger project needs another layer of clearance from MCD. As all say, ‘together we can and together we will’…… let us keep at it for the balance work too.
