Amrit Paul Arya Shishu Shala, primary school established by Arya Samaj Kailash- Greater Kailash-1, celeberated its 45th Annual Day on February 23, 2024 at BMM Vidic Centre Auditorium.
Anita Naudiyal, Deputy Director (Education), SDMC was the chief guest of the function and Yogesh Munjal, Vice President, DAV college managing committee was the guest of honor. Vijay Lakhanpal, President, Arya Samaj Kailash- GK-1, presided over the function. Office bearers and members of Antarang Sabha of Arya Samaj Kailash- GK-1 graced the occasion.
Children of the school presented a cultural program covering regional dances, patriotic songs and skits.
Meritorious students of the school were presented certificates of merit for all round performance. Fellowships covering fee were awarded to best girl child of each class. Cash prize and certificate of merit were distributed to best three students of each class. Best male and female students of the year awards were presented on the occasion. Certificate of Recognition were also given to students for excellence in various fields.
Ms. Kamlesh, Headmistress of the school presented the progress report of activities during the year and highlighted new initiatives undertaken under guidance of Saroj Abrol, Director (Academics). These included morning prayer, exercise and Thought of the day, monthly havan, Mental Math sessions, Art – Craft and Music sessions, Personality development , sports competitions and extracurricular activities.
Anita Paudiyal, in her speech, appreciated the efforts of teachers and children in putting together a wonderful cultural program and congratulated award-winning students.
Yogesh Munjal awhile appreciating the efforts of teachers and children advised students to recognize the role and importance of teachers in early life of a child in building personality and attitude that helps one life long. He narrated the story of former President of India, Shri. APJ Abdul Kalam, who shared publicly how his school teacher helped him overcome inhibitions.
Madhu Poddar, resident of C block, GK-1, donated Rs. 10,000 to the school on the Annual Day.
The function was attended by more than 300 persons including, students, parents and residents of the area.
