It is a universal truth that only one will be a winner rest all will be losers, so there should be no good or bad feeling.
In democracy elections are the back bone. It may be Parliament, State Assemblies or any local body elections. The elected members hold the charge of governing.
The election system is widely accepted in almost all bodies even panchayat, corporate companies, municipalities local bodies, clubs, housing societies, associations etc etc.
A person with one vote more or less is considered winner or loser. Both of them agree to this. Sometimes for one seat, lot of fighters fill the election form to fight the election and they start speaking good to very very good about themselves and for others they tell various unbelievable stories and they feel voters should trust them because he claims that what he is saying is the truth and only the truth nothing less than the truth.
Recently at New Friends Colony Club elections were held. The ruling party was holding the affairs and the other party had never ruled before but they made a team to fight the elections. Their leader was Dr Bansal he is the owner of a Hospital in NFC Area.
There is a rule of election that President and his team members will fight the election separately. There are 22 members from each Party who fight the election with their President. The number of parties may be many but here only two were fighting.
The one who had paid all dues of the club could only fight or vote. Anyway, both parties stood in front of each other and the game started. Print material got printed by both, meeting people at homes began, blame game in full started. Future plans were told and got printed, one party even proposed to construct a bigger swimming pool on the roof of the building and the present one will be shut as it is at the bottom of the building. How they will hold lacs of litres of water on top and who will permit was not clear?
One party organised breakfast for the members then the other gave one at some outside banquet hall. The other announced a Cocktail then the other gave it at the some place where female waiters and attendants were deputed to serve liquor.
One party was so sure about winning that his candidate was shouting to throw out the present Rulers of club at 5.30 pm on result announcement day.
In the past parties used to fight physically in the open and used to bring muscle men. But this time all went peacefully and very well and ladies took full interest in the process.
Anil Datta’s party won all the seats ie all 1+ 22 whereas the other could not win even one seat.
The next day they released a list of members with no. of votes casted to each of them. It was a big blow to the losers. It was difficult for them to even show their face. It is learnt that many losers left the Colony, switched off their mobiles and disconnected themselves from public. It was disastrous to see their position on the public platform.
