Subject: Urgent Security Alert 21st February 2024 Dear Residents of ED Block East, We hope this message finds you well, but it comes with a pressing concern regarding our community’s security. In recent days, we have witnessed disturbing incidents within our vicinity, culminating in the theft of a brand-new CRETA and a costly foreign made cycle from Y Block near the temple. These events serve as a stark reminder that our area has become a target for criminals. Despite our efforts to secure our gates at night, it appears that our measures are not fool-proof. However, amidst these challenges, we wish to report a commendable act of bravery and vigilance from our security team. Last night, a thief attempted to infiltrate our community through the E-35 side Entry & Exit point. Thanks to the swift actions of our Security Guard, Mr. Jas Bahadur, the intruder was prevented from entering. Despite being rebuffed initially, the thief managed to find another entry point. The Guards while on their frequent beats at late night caught him and kept him locked in the Security Cabin kept at E-35 Hauz Khas Lane. Upon discovery, our team immediately contacted the authorities, leading to the prompt arrival of the Hauz Khas police and Police Control Room staff. The thief has since been handed over to the authorities at about 6 am today, and a formal complaint has been registered at the Hauz Khas Police Station. It is worth noting that during initial questioning, the thief claimed himself to be a sweeper in G Block Market and cited entering our colony to defecate as his reason. In recognition of his exceptional courage and quick thinking, Mr. Jas Bahadur has been awarded a cash reward of Rs 1,000 by one of our senior security team members while appreciating his dedication to safeguarding our community that serves as an example to other RWAs / Communities. As we navigate these security challenges, we urge each resident to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity immediately.
