In July 2008 Collegium of Senior Citizens Welfare Association was formed with the objective of providing the senior citizens social, academic, cultural and healthy opportunities and implementing effective measures for social security and welfare for its members. Important issues relating to its members to be taken up with RWCS and Club-26.
After covid the activities of the collegium reduced to very low as few active members died after the covid and some become old due to health problems. In the last two years the executive committee of collegium has tried to revive its activities to help elderly adults maintain cognitive, physical and mental health.
The Collegium of Senior Citizens of Welfare Association started celebrating the Birthdays and Anniversaries of their members every month. On 29 Jan 2024 birthday of Dr SP Jain, Dr MD Mathur, Wng Com NS Jain, President HC Malhotra, Govind Mishra, Grp Cap Ravi Malhotra, Prem Vashishtha and Marriage Anniversaries of Nand Lal Arora, SL Bajaj, Dr & Mrs Raj Ghildiyal, Col KK Puri, Surender Grover, Dr CP Gupta, Madan Kalra, Dr SK Bhatia, was celebrated and a contributory lunch was organised and a memento each were given to the members as gifts.
Last year another group of Senior Citizens Club-26 was formed by RK Khosla President of Club-26 for the senior citizen members of Club-26, the group is headed by Kanwal K Kohli. The motive of the group is to know about each other and form a familiar atmosphere in leisure hours. The members of the group meet once every month in Club-26 restaurant on contributory lunch basis.
