Cold weather greeted Lodhi this year but the spirits of revelers, the Gidha & Bhangra Performances and Foot Tapping Punjabi songs by Artists of Punjabi Academy, generated enough heat to liven up the evening. Thanks to Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj, who graciously accepted to be the Chief Guest. SHO Ajit Kumar Upadhayay and his team from GK-I Police Station also enjoyed and interacted with residents informally.
As always, the much-awaited Contributory Dinner of Purani Dilli ki delicacies served in a beautifully decorated Sports Ground left no trace of the biting cold. The well managed food stalls had the guests and fast turn over had people complementing the RWA, who at the end of the evening as usual opened the gates for all the Labour in under construction buildings and Private Guards to enjoy hot meals which the caterer is instructed to prepare in abundance.
