January 2, was a colourful day for sector 36 resident children because they participated in the painting competition held in the community centre. It was orga-
nised by the RWA in association with an NGO under ‘My Clean City Program’. This initiative aimed to promote environmental consciousness through the lens of youthful creativity.
The competition focussed on environment-themed topics, providing a canvas for your children to express their artistic imagination. It was a pleasure for the organizers to watch the kids engrossed in their work. The finished products were amazing as the children had let their imagination run wild and created absolute magic. It was indeed a very successful event and a memorable one too as all their paintings were exhibited in the community centre for all residents to see. Children proudly pointed out their works to their parents and friends!
All paintings were beautiful so it was felt as if every participant was a winner! But since it is a tradition, the judges had a difficult task of judging the best entries. Prizes, certificates and free membership for the library was given to the winners!!
A special mention deserves to be made about the encouraging response of JVT RWA, who are willing to collaborate, in jointly conducting activities for kids.
Residents wish to thank the community members who voluntarily initiated and through their continued sincere efforts, set up the library where useful and fun activities for kids will be conducted regularly.
More and more volunteers should pitch in to donate books and sponsor activities to help learning, personality enhancement and character building in our kids.”
