Temples are considered one of the most important places in Hinduism. They are seen as a sacred place to worship and connect with the Gods. Monday, 22 January was declared as the Pran Pratishtha day of Lord Rama in Ayodhya by the Government of India.
To commemorate and celebrate this auspicious day, we Espacians too decided to do the same in our temple organised by the Shiv Shakti Dham Trust by a few of our fellow residents. A four-day celebratory ritual was started on Thursday, 18 January as a Kalash Yatra.
The procession started from the temple premises till Tower 32 with full pomp and show. Ladies were dressed up in beautiful yellow sarees with kalash on their heads and mehndi on their hands. On Friday and Saturday, 19 & 20 January, pooja was done of the kalash kept in the temple in both morning as well as evening by the Pandit ji.
On Sunday, 21 January, a Bhajan Sandhya was organised at the amphitheatre filled with devotion and happiness all around. On Monday was the actual Pran Pratishtha day. In the early morning hours, the idols of Gods were beautifully placed in a vehicle and taken to every tower for Murti Pooja.
After the Pran Pratishtha, a Havan was organised by the mandir trust which was attended by residents to take blessings from the Almighty. A langar was also organised which served everyone equally with gratitude and love towards all.
Our thanks to the Mandir Trust, especially to Deepak Verma, Renu Bhardwaj, Seema Goswami, Atul Gupta, RK Agrawal, AK Gupta & Pradeep Gupta, for organising the celebration of this momentous occasion!
