I am sure all of you remember the large Shri Ram painting made by one of our residents for the Pran Pratishtha celebration. I was delighted to get a chance to chat with Pankaj Aggarwal, the artist &a Hamletian for the past four years (8251).
Pankaj’s passion for art intertwines with a dynamic career and diverse interests. He says, “From childhood, I harboured an affinity for art, finding expression in its creative depths. However, it was only in 2015 that I embraced my artistic journey, delving into the realms of spirituality through my work.”
Inspired by Raja Ravi Verma, Pankaj’s paintings resonate with divine essence, each stroke infused with spiritual insights.Despite the demands of a job and travel, his dedication to his craft remains unwavering.
“I integrate my passion into my daily life, finding inspirational moments after returning from the office or during weekends.”Pankaj’s commitment is evident in his personal fulfilment and in the recognition his work has garnered, from being published in magazines to adorning sacred spaces like the Kedarnath shrine and Banke Bihari Ji temple in Vrindavan.
Dispelling the stereotype of moody artists, Pankaj describes himself as imaginative. “I harness the depth of artistic endeavours to enrich my life.”His style leans towards spiritual paintings, where each canvas tells a story of the divine, capturing the narratives with detail and reverence.
Pankaj shares, “Beyond artistic pursuits, I find joy in passions like playing basketball and golf, indulging in traditional cuisine and embarking on long drives.” His interests extend to Artificial Intelligence, reflecting his curiosity and thirst for knowledge.
