DLF Phase 4’s main chowk between Crosspoint Mall and Galleria has been a dark spot in the evening hours. Due to lack of street lights, in the evening, the area is rather unsafe for pedestrians and motorists. This busy road is also an access road to pockets of DLF-4 houses, such as 13th Avenue Lane. Pedestrians navigating through this poorly lit patch face difficulty identifying potential hazards, such as uneven surfaces, potholes, or obstructions. The lack of visibility is not only endangering those on foot but also posing a significant risk to car drivers and bikers. Many incidents of chain snatching and mobile snatching have also been reported on the stretch from the main chowk leading to Chakkarpur.
There is an immediate need for the authorities to take up the matter and put flood lights and street lights in the area.
