75th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervour at The Palms this year. Fortunately, the weather was also cooperative and families had a great time attending the flag hoisting and cultural programs while soaking in the lovely winter sun. Children’s enthusiasm was contagious and the organisers were happy to entertain numerous last-minute requests not just from children, but adults too who wanted to showcase their talent.
The program started with flag hoisting, address by the chief guest and moving on to march past by the guards, cultural performances by residents and staff members, Zumba dance which saw a huge participation from people of all age groups, and fun sports activities for kids and senior citizens. Kudos to the organising committee and volunteers for pulling off a wonderful event with a never-before-seen level of participation from all age groups.
