Vasant Vihar celebrated the Pran Pratishtha event with great enthusiasm, and devotion. Saffron flags of Ram Lalla adorned the temples and the local markets as devotional songs were played non-stop through the day. Despite the winter chill, the colony temples remained overcrowded with the devotees’ offering prayers and seeking the blessings of Ram Lalla.
Sanatan Dharam Mandir and the Vasant Vihar Welfare Association organized religious discourses and recitation of Bhajans/Kirtans on 21 and 22 January 2024. A giant video screen erected in the temple premises telecasted the Pran Pratishtha ceremony live. Devotees watching the live telecast turned ecstatic at the divine moment and chanted in unison ‘Jai Sri Ram’.
The programme was rounded off with a Bhandara where the residents enjoyed the sumptuous Prasadam, cooked and served by the ladies of the colony. Meenakshi Lekhi, our local MP and the Union Minister of State of External Affairs and Culture joined the celebrations on 21st Jan 2024 and spent some time listening to the Bhajan recitals.
Celebrations were also held at the South Indian temple and the Arya Samaj Mandir. Bhandra was held for three days on 20, 21 and 22 January 2024 in front of the South Indian temple.
