• E Block Market: This market is quite notorious for being the dirtiest market in Vasant Vihar. Apart from being a place for gambling, drugs and the most congested place with handcarts parked everywhere. Now for the last couple of months we find every morning hundreds of laborers gathering here in search of jobs. They collect here and wait for people to come and take them for lucrative jobs as daily laborers. There is such a crowd in the morning you will wonder what is happening. This is dangerous to the safety of the colony and the residents.
• RWA Activities: This year a function was put up by RWA to celebrate diwali. A group of musicians was called for singing and celebrating the same; they took the stage and sang songs which were appreciated by the residents. There were eating stalls and games stalls and the residents could be seen making merry. Christmas was also celebrated. A Christmas tree was put up and a party was organized for the children as well. Next came the celebration of lohri, which was celebrated on the 13th of January. People gathered to offer peanuts and reveries to the holy fire and ask for a year of peace and prosperity.
• The Juggi Cluster: The jhuggi walas are still trying to make their home in the Biodiversity park outside Hill View. This has been going on for the last 2 months and every time we get information that they are trying to make huts, we have to go out there and call the police and with their help break down what has been made. In the last two months we have called the police at least 6 or 7 times. They had even drawn lines to demarcate the areas. Last week we had to physically remove these demarcations. They are trying to capture the ridge to start a new settlement and we will not allow it to happen.
