Every year the area around the club is flooded due to heavy rains to an extent it becomes a boat club. Houses in the vicinity of this area are the worst sufferers with water damaging their property and vehicles.
The main issue is due to silt deposit in the rain water drains and the nallah. Drains blocked and silt in the nallah water back flows on the road causing flooding
Recently thanks to combined efforts of our Councillor Anita Basoya and president RWA Veena Khanna who met Addl Commissioner MCD Amit Sharma we got Super Suckers requisitioned twice on the nallah to clean the drains and desilting of nallah near the club and further towards ring road.
Hope this helps in flooding of roads and water accumulation near the club.
Mrs Khanna has promised to get these machines-on periodic basis. Though this is a temporary process and proper desilting is required by deploying JCB in the nallah but for now it has come as a great reprieve for the affected residents.
